had my follow up... all tests were normal... there was no obvious cause of the TIA... it's a little unnerving not having a definite cause, but it's good news just the same, thank God! and thank you for all your support and concern... now i'm off to bed because i'm tired and i'm on call in the morning and there's a case to do...
