the year in review...

january
rang in the new year with the drunk and the stupid and the vomiting... moved into the current house... learned about the amish community in the bahamas... i confessed my use of black sharpie marker as a temporary cover for gray hair... the car broke... again...

february
met my homeless friend... discovered shoe polish as hair color is a really bad idea... my mom came to visit me for 2 months... went to monkey jungle and the zoo and got bit by a red ant... had the stint in the ER with palpitations which led to the stress test and other stuff...

march
anniversary of my dad’s death... my sister’s mother-in-law died... galen’s grandfather died on the same day... saw the titanic exhibit...

april
drove my mom home to pennsylvania... my cousin’s husband was killed in a motorcycle accident... started helping my homeless friend to go home... i learned brimstone is real...

may
my birthday... was having a hard time at the job... i realized i could hear the voice of God... put my homeless friend on a bus to go home... got caught in the middle of a high speed car chase... i quit smoking after 28 long years... saw firefighters in the OR... i got baptised!

june
this is the month of Galen’s birthday... i adopted a little boy from haiti... i had “fun” with atheists... i almost killed somebody when i accidentally ran over an orange cone... thank God i didn’t... the FBI arrested a “terrorist cell” in miami that wasn’t really a “terrorist cell”...

july
i almost had a cigarette while waiting for the kids’ plane to land in a storm... the hamster died a traumatic death... left the kids home alone for the very first time when i went home to pennsylvania... they didn’t burn the house down...

august
the air conditioner in the car broke... i got contact lenses... but gave them up cuz they made me blinder... i learned nothing is visible behind the north star and cinnamon comes from bark... we had only one storm, ernesto... and he was just a tropical storm...

september
watched my first sunrise on purpose... my back troubles flared up... learned how the space station gets oxygen... learned how to say spongebob squarepants in multiple languages... discovered my high BP...

october
discovered my right eyebrow is higher than my left... learned of my herniated discs... started doing outreach and working at the homeless church... my mom and sister came to visit... got them to check out my church, thanks to God... the car broke... again...

november
started riding my bike to work... good exercise... i’m sure i’ll get run over by a car... got tattooed... celebrated my first rebirthday... got blasted by a “friend” for loving Jesus Christ... got sick with laryngitis... helped feed the homeless for thanksgiving... got depressed... got called in to work in the middle of the night...

december
still depressed... heard great news from another friend about choosing Christ... had a TIA... don’t know what the cause was... the tests were all negative... got called in to work in the middle of the night... again... robert turns 21! where did 21 years go? i am constantly reminded of the good friends i have met here and the support they give me... going home in 3 days to see the family... overall, it’s been a fantastic year and i owe all my gratitude to my Savior and my God! it’s my prayer that 2007 will be even better for all of us! God bless us each and every one!
