got up this morning to a surprise... a note from Robert saying there is something wrong with the engine of my car... so what’s a girl to do? well, a year ago i would have totally Los my mind and ruminated on what to do for a long period of time... how will i get where i need to go? what will i do? what if it costs a fortune? don’t get me wrong... i cried for 15 minutes or so... but not because the car is broken, because i had plans... plans to go to “the refuge” (the homeless church) and plans to go to the “deep faith” class where i am learning to disciple new believers and encourage long time believers... if only i had woken up 3 hours earlier, i could have gotten the bus or the train... so instead of crying over spilt milk, i told God He was going to have to worry about this problem for me and i called my friend leah and she offered to come get me from about 40 miles north of where i live! God is good! i rode my bicycle out to I-95 and met her and we went to church... now the really awesome thing was the sermon... i would have missed the sermon today if my car worked because i would have been at the homeless church getting a different message... and the message i got today was basically, life happens and there is nothing we can do to control any of it... and how do we react to it? i love it when God speaks to me so clearly... like He said, “okay michelle, your car is broken, what are you going to do? are you going to freak out like you used to? or are you going to just let Me worry about it for you and fix it?” the simple truth is when i put all my faith in God, He always shows up... never fails... i have been praying for God to give me faith like a child... remember being little and believing in all things so easily? i want that back... somewhere over time i lost it... life in this world has a way of doing that to us... so it’s all good... i have my health and my job and my family and a broken car... again... God is good! and i will praise Him all the rest of the days of my life for the joy and peace he has given me... it’s all i ever wanted...

Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving thanks.

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
