in other news...

i got contact lenses on friday! woohoo! i've wanted to try them for like the last 5 years, but never got around to it... it is sooo awesome to be able to see up close without glasses! but they are actually quite frustrating too... the darn things are so soft they stick to the tip of my finger so i have to repeatedly poke myself in the eye just to get them in... and i'm doing the monovision lenses, meaning one lens is for distance and the other is for close up... it's very weird... it makes me able to see at all distances less than perfect, not quite clearly but slightly off... and to focus really well i feel like i'm looking at one of those weird photos that you have to cross your eyes ever so slightly to see the 3D picture inside it... remember those? i feel pretty determined to get used to these things though because i'm tired of wearing glasses all the time and i could switch to bifocal lenses, but they cost more and i'm trying to do this in the most cost effective way... anyway... this is day 3 of the contact lens project... any tips form you lens wearers would be most greatly appreciated :-)
