so in my Bible overview class on sunday i was wondering about the end of the age and how perry stone was talking about prophecy (perry stone has a website and a TV show all about Bible prophecy)... instead of looking at the Bible being in a linear time line from start to finish there are people who look at the time line in a circular fashion... for example, the first chapters of Genesis are mirror images of the last chapters of Revelation... so in the beginning God created the earth, then there was the fall and in the end comes the tribulation and then Christ comes again and reigns on earth for a thousand years and then comes the second death and then the new heaven and the new earth... it's all very symmetrical... the Bible says we won't know when the end is coming because it isn't for us to know the exact time... so i was thinking about how people have been trying to date the earth from a Biblical perspective and they say the earth is approximately 6000 years old from the time adam was created until now... if the time line is circular/symmetrical that would mean there were 4000 years before Christ and 2006 years since... and i wonder if it means we have approximately 2000 years left before the apacolypse, because that would take us to 4000 years after Christ... and the beginning of the end would start in one thousand years when Christ returns... and in the end the world would be made perfect again as it was in the beginning... and Jesus said, "I am the alpha and the omega", the beginning and the end... if you put the beginning point on a circle and the end point on a circle, they are practically the same point... it's an interesting theory to ponder...
