so here i am... by default... cuz i don't have an internet signal... the last couple of days have been intense... after leaving work yesterday, we went to the beach to check out the hurricane, see the waves and the surfers... it was crazy... the wind was fast as you can see from previous pictures... we were directly in the eye... and it was scary... people died from being outside and getting hit by falling trees... two palm trees fell out back and one fell out front... i was kinda hoping my car would get hit by a tree so i could get a new one... ... so today i got a call to come back to work and i was like ok, whatever... i got in the car and headed out and everything was ok for about 5 minutes... then i got to the road leading to I-95 and the traffic lights were out... no police to direct the traffic... every man for himself... it was stressful... went to work and all was well and then i left and the power is still out and the traffic lights are still not working and now it's dark and it's still every man for himself... you drive for a couple of miles in the dark then there is light for a couple of miles and then it's dark again... the scariest thing is no traffic signals... waiting to get t-boned is stressful... this was a "minor" hurricane... it has been pretty scary... i hate to see what a "major" hurricane would do... but we're ok and that's what matters...
