spoke to jeannine a short time ago and lisa is doing ok... yesterday, i suggested she get in touch with the benevolence ministry and they were very helpful... putting up the funds for lisa to stay in a motel for 3 more nights... and today, lisa has spent the day on the phone with social workers, trying to get her situation figured out... i send my blog out through email as well as posting here and other places and got a response from the pastor in charge of the Refuge, who also had suggestions for helping lisa in her hour of need... God is so good! He saves us and then gives us this mighty body of believers who are all on the same page, so to speak... we all seem to think alike and come up with the same ideas at the same time... it's really cool actually...

in other news... today was a hard day at work... my feelings get hurt so easily and i swear the devil works through just the right people to get me crying... i'm quite tired...

i leave for Chicago in 3 days... i can't wait to see what God has in store for us this weekend... i've been blown away by all the wonderful support i've gotten from friends, family, and co-workers... i'm so excited! i feel like i did when i went to texas for the combat casualty care course (i don't know if i spelled casualty right?), which was a front line training course for nurses and doctors for war time... and it's funny because yesterday, Pastor Jym said we are in front lines ministry... there is a war going on all around us that we don't even see, fighting for our souls... he said the devil hates evangelism and worship and will do anything to stop them from happening... he also had an awesome quote from i don't know where... "if you don't get up in the morning and meet the devil, you're going the wrong way"... i love working for the Lord! i love being used by Him and being filled by His Spirit to have the courage to fight this war for souls! it's an exciting life and i wouldn't change it for anything!

Ephesians 6:11-13
11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
