makes me sad... i never did get to visit new orleans... it's on my long list of places to go... so after the hurricane when new orleans becomes a lake and becomes the lost city of new orleans, do you think there will be diving tours of the city?

well it looks like i'll get to visit new orleans afterall... but mississippi may be out for the forseeable future.. although i went to biloxi years ago when i was still with that bastard that fathered the tallboy... they are like only 100 yards from the gulf and i saw pictures on the news last night that showed all the historic homes flattened... so sad...
galen just went back to school today because the power was out that long... we only got the category 1 katrina... eesh... so he called me from school to say he had all the wrong stuff... they have block scheduling and it changes every other week... so he thought they would just pick up from where they left off, but they went with where they should be this week... brings back my school nightmares when i wander around the halls cuz i don't know exactly where i'm supposed to be...
started a new knitting project... a skirt made with yarn made out of bamboo... weird what they can make yarn from...

well after watching the events of yesterday unfold, i'd have to say i was wrong in my assumption of getting to visit new orleans... unless they give those dive tours... such a shame... and how long are the people going to be in refugee camps, cuz they have to get out of that city... somehow...
stopped at the gas station on my way home last night and there was some woman in the store claiming she just heard on the news that all gas stations were closing at midnight for 72 hours and when they reopen the price of gas is going to be $3-$4 more a gallon... what radio station/news program was she watching/listening to? she believed it too... and i wasn't sure i believed or not, but i got gas just in case... werder things have happened... my mom said she heard they may start rationing gas like they did in the 70s... i remember that... big gas shortage... apparently that was for no good reason though...
found out there are bees in south florida... you just have to know where to look for them... i guess we don't have bee friendly flowers in my neighborhood...
