so for the past week and a half, i've been having this weird sensation in my left leg... it lasts for 30 seconds or so and comes and goes intermittently and just feels indescribably weird... almost like warmth and numbness and slight tingling and spasmy (i don't thiink spasmy is a real word)... anyway... the first problem is, of course, i am a nurse and thus try to diagnose everything on my own, so i've been taking motrin around the clock for a week and a half, hoping it would go away... instead, it has increased in frequency and now my upper left arm has a weird sensation too when it occurs... then somebody suggested maybe i was drinking too much tea and therefore having too much caffeine, so i stopped drinking tea and stuck to water for 24 hours, which did seem to make the frequency decrease slightly, but gave me a raging headache from caffeine withdrawal... today i broke down and went to see a doctor who suggested i have a neurological thing going on (which i already figured on my own) and i had an xray, which was normal (xrays don't really show much in case you were wondering) and he prescribed me a different anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxant because maybe i'm having a muscular component that's putting pressure on a nerve... i do have sciatica on that side so it could be just that... if i don't have improvemnet with these new drugs, then i'll probably get to have an MRI, which will show much more than an xray... so... pray for me to be well?
